J.Crew Cotton Wrap Dress + Strappy Flat Sandals

It’s that time of the year when I get a lot of requests for bridal and baby shower outfit ideas, and can imagine how many of us are especially looking forward to getting dolled up again! Today I’m partnering with J.Crew to share a few picks that can strike a nice balance between dressy and casual.

Double T-Strap Sandals on major sale

A minimalist, neutral sandal that is on trend with details like a slightly squared off toe and double T-strap. I keep reaching for these with jeans, shorts, dresses… everything! As other reviewers also mentioned, I found the very front strap that goes over the toes to run on the narrow side, but after wearing them only once I found the strap to wear in comfortably and I’ve since walked miles in these around town!

This has been one of my favorite silhouettes lately! A very fun summer dress with a little more of a fashion forward silhouette, semi-statement puff sleeves and a very flouncy, tiered A line skirt. This dress is 100% cotton and a true wrap style that secures with a hidden button closure inside, and wraps around to tie at the side. I agree with reviewers that this is not a very fitted style, and the xxs petite has some room around my waist. If you prefer more of a true fit and flare style, you could size down and tie the waist more snugly. I’m wearing “warm clay” which is a nude pink color, but think both the white and black would also look nice and fresh.

This dress also comes with a separate cotton slip dress with adjustable shoulder straps. I don’t think the slip is entirely necessary but it does provide some nice extra coverage, particularly for the lighter colors. The dress also includes a small snap button closure on the inside of each shoulder to secure the slip dress (or keep your bra straps from sliding down your shoulders!).

Twist Headband

I love how wide this headband is while still being very lightweight! At it’s widest point it measures over 2 inches which provides generous covering and makes it a great stylish option for holding your hair back.

A darling dress that is bump-friendly and very forgiving due to the stretch, pleats and adjustable straps. I could see this easily being dressed up for summer special events with friends, or worn with the double T strap flat sandals or slides for casual weekends. I take size 00 regular in this and I found it to be petite-friendly (as a maxi-style dress) thanks to the adjustable straps.
