Practical + Warm Hiker Boot Finds

I finally maneuvered my winter boots bin out of seasonal storage, and it felt a bit like Christmas being reunited with old gems I hadn’t seen in a while! The shearling hiker boot trend is still going strong from before, and as a busy mama I appreciate any trend that’s chic yet warm, practical and functional. See how else I’ve styled my Marc Fisher Izzie boots here and here!

Look for Less Find

Marc Fisher Suede & Shearling Boots
Price: Under $100 (retail $249)
Sizes: 5 – 11. I usually go up half a size with MF boots especially if you plan on wearing thick socks.

For Marc Fisher fans, these are a great price for a real leather or suede style similar to their popular Izzie, but with a slightly lower shaft height and on extra sale!

As mentioned in past posts, these textured waffle cashmere sweaters from Everlane are some of my ultimate cold weather staples. They’re back this season in an updated, more slouchy cut as pictured here, and the same beautiful, versatile taupe color (“heathered sand”) that I was obsessed with last year! Once the weather gets frigid in Boston, my go-to combo is a Uniqlo heattech thermal tee under one these cashmere sweaters, plus a winter coat layered on top.

Thank you, it’s an eternity band from Blue Nile, but any local jeweler could make a very similar one!

Jean- Have you tried on the J Crew Nordic boots? My actual foot size is 5.5. Would you recommend ordering size 5 or 6?
    Thank you!!

Sorry for the late reply, but I would go half size up to the 6 instead of down.

Hi Jolene, just making sure to eat enough since breastfeeding requires more calories, and oatmeal and oat milk since many say those help with milk production (can’t say for sure though!)

I’m a huge fan of the J Crew boot. Bought them in black a couple of years ago because I needed warm boots I could wear indoors and stand in for a long time (I work in a sit/stand configuration) and this year, when I saw the sale, I bought them in the brown and the cream. Absolutely love them. Comfortable & not heavy.

You look amazing! Are you following any specific diet?

Thank you so much, no specific diet just trying to eat nutritiously and get in the extra calories needed for breastfeeding!
